It's Presidential Election Time!
Although my first graders are really young, there has been tons of discussions at school about watching the debates with their parents at home.
Our class has been discussing voting, why it is important to vote and what happens after the votes are counted.
To have my students feel as if they are part of the election, I have created voter registration cards and ballots. Check them out at my TPT store!

Also, we visited a website called Congress For Kids! They absolutely LOVE this website and it breaks down the terminology into "kid friendly" language.
